Nash Mills' Governing Body

Our Governors work with the Headteacher and other staff to set a strategic direction for the school, ensure accountability and financial probity.  The Headteacher, who sits on the Governing Body, makes the day to day decisions about the running of the school.  It is the Governors however, who help to steer the school ethos, agree the budget, look after the welfare of the children, oversee the curriculum taught and setting annual targets for both the school's and the Headteacher's performance.

The Governors also deal with formal complaints, personnel, buildings, policies and some disciplinary matters, all of which is done on a voluntary basis.

Nash Mills CofE Primary School is a Voluntary-Aided School within the Diocese of St. Albans.

The governing body consists of a total of 14 governor roles, comprising:

1. eight foundation governors (including our local vicar)
2. three parent governors
3. one headteacher
4. one staff governor
5. one local authority governor
6. other associate governors elected for specific purposes
