Welcome from Mrs Gravell
I’m very excited to have joined the Nash Mills Church of England Primary School family and am really enjoying getting to know so many friendly faces. With more than fifteen years’ administrative experience on the back of an eight-year event management career, I’m no stranger to juggling busy office tasks and am enjoying getting stuck into my Office Manager role!
My husband helps run a charity in London and I have two children at secondary school, a daughter who has just started Year 7 and a son in Year 10. These days, I’m happiest spending peaceful time with my family, but in the past my Modern Languages studies and event management career provided me with the opportunity to travel a lot of the world, I'd say my favourite destinations were South and Central America.
I enjoy a challenge, and in September 2019 I walked the “Shine” Overnight marathon in central London to raise money for Cancer Research. I have always enjoyed voluntary roles in my local community such as helping out on the pre-school committee in the village where I live and supporting the local Scouting groups both with administrative tasks and mass catering for scout camps! I do a mean Bolognese and my chocolate brownies have proved very popular over the years! The thing I’ve missed the most during lockdown is cooking big meals for family and friends, although zoom has certainly helped fill the gap. I’m from a musical family and have enjoyed passing my love of music onto my children - we all play the piano and my son composes (very noisy!) electronic music.
Although for the time being COVID means that I need to keep face-to-face contact with children and families to a minimum, I very much look forward to getting to know everybody over time and to supporting Mr Maher, the staff, parents and most importantly the children throughout their journey at primary school.
