Headteacher

Welcome to our School Website

I am delighted to introduce myself to you as the Headteacher of Nash Mills CofE Primary School.  I have received a very warm welcome from the staff, children and parents and am excited about the next stage in the school’s journey.

The current COVID situation presents us with a range of challenges and, in the coming months, I’m sure there will be further changes to the way we operate as a school.  However, with this there will be plenty of opportunities for us to do new things and work in new and exciting ways.

Founded in the nineteenth century, Nash Mills CofE Primary School is the original village school and remains at the heart of our community.  The school has a wealth of interesting history which will form part of each child’s learning.  We are a single-form entry Church of England school catering for children between the ages of 3 and 11. Our accommodation ranges from original classrooms to more modern classrooms for our younger children.

Our children are at the heart of all we do and their achievements are a credit to the entire community.  At the same time, we believe children should develop a sense of responsibility for their actions, having a moral and social awareness of the school family and wider community to which we all belong – a community in which we not only have rights but also responsibilities.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please contact the school office (01442 252972) or e-mail admin@nashmills.herts.sch.uk to make an appointment.

I look forward to seeing you soon,

Mr Maher

Head teacher
