While most people know about the Great Pyramid, there are actually five pyramids at Giza! The biggest is the Great Pyramid, built for Pharaoh Khufu.
The ancient Egyptians didn’t have a weeks like we do today. They had a special 5-day period each year, called the "Intercalary Days," which they used to celebrate!
When Egyptians mummified bodies, they used 5 key steps: removing the organs, drying the body with natron salt, wrapping the body in linen, placing amulets for protection, and putting the body in a tomb.
The Egyptians worshipped many gods, but some of the most important were Ra, Osiris, Isis, Horus, and Anubis. They believed these gods controlled everything from the sun to the afterlife.
