*N.B. The plans for the Foundation Stage classes are subject to change due to meeting the interests and needs of pupils.

These flipbooks demonstrate how the grid method, used in Year 3 and Year 4, supports the understanding of short multiplication in Year 4.
These flipbooks show how the grid method for multiplying a 2-digit by a 2 or 3-digit number, supports the understanding of long multiplication in Years 5 and 6.
These flipbooks show how we use place value counters and number lines to aid the understanding of short division in Years 4, 5 and 6.
These flipbooks show step by step instructions of how Year 6 are taught to do long division. We use a division method called chunking leading up to this formal method. Details of chunking can be found in our calculation policy below.

We use Read, Write Inc as our phonics scheme from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1.

We use the Oxford Reading Tree to support reading, supplemented with other resources, including books from the All Aboard and Songbirds schemes.
